Homework

Wondering if cupid could make kids fall in love with homework? Just asking. It is worth a shot, right?

Cupid is here

 Cupid has arrived

He is hiding here and there

Clearing away the darkness

With a bit of love in the air.

That neighbor

Hi neighbor! Just checking out your lawn and flowers and noticed you were in your kitchen eating something which made me wonder what it was and that show you were watching last night, it looked pretty good but there sure were a lot of commercials. Come over? I'd love to but I am sort of busy. Maybe tomorrow! Oh, by the way, I think someone left a package on your doorstep. I think it was from your Aunt Becky. Anyway, happy Friday!

Choices

Today I woke-up with the choice to be a grouch or an Ernie. I chose an Ernie. What did you choose?

The Blink

Mom, make sure you get me in the picture. Am I in it? Now be sure the flowers are looking. The one in the middle blinks a lot so be sure to take a couple photos. OK, how do they look. Did you get a good one? Well, take 7 more just in case. Mom, you need to tell us when to be ready. I was in the middle of talking. Ok, ready now! She blinked again, didn't she?

A visitor

Dear Little Prince
Who had tamed the fox?
What have you done?
With the sheep's paper box

And the rose with her vanity
Did she survive?
And you on your asteroid
Do the baobabs still thrive?

I am lost too
In the desert with no well
I've abandoned myself
For I am only a shell

The stars they do own me
I'm written in their books
My rivers and lakes
My admiration and looks

Yet I am not praised
For the lights I have illumed
Or for any of the baobabs
Which the sheep have consumed

I am watched oh so closely
By a snake of the sands
Who promises to reunite
Me to the lands

And then I am reminded
The heart does see rightly
By the laughter of the stars
As they shine themselves brightly

Things I think about before bed

So, when I wake up tomorrow is the world still going to be divided? Will his story be more truthful than hers? Will he be right and he over there be wrong? What about my story? The one left untold? I hear adults say, "There are 2 sides to every story." How can this be when there are 7.6 billion stories be written everyday? I don't believe there are sides. There is no being on the same page. It is impossible. Maybe instead of trying to prove our truths, we should stick to just living them while respecting the ones we'll never really understand.

A Bear with a lot of Questions

"So, why don't people play when they are old?"

"They get busy with numbers and proving that they are valuable. It is sad. It happens to the medium humans also."

"Why do humans put their wheels on the grass and hurt it?"

"They believe the world is theirs and they believe grass is beneath them."

"Why do humans hide in their homes away from the light?"

"I think they are tired from counting the numbers."

"If the humans are tired, why not rest outside rather than inside?"

"I think they are hiding from something, but I have yet to find out what that is."

You choose

 Just around the corner

Up there on the right

Is either something beautiful

Or something of a fright

What you expect to see

Is really up to you

Why not choose a rainbow

Rather than something that will make you blue.

I don't waste my time making lemonade out of lemons: I suck the juice out immediately!

Some advice from sloth

Hang in there. Everything will be OK.

If that doesn't work, get the heck out of there and choose to be OK.
